A new split-level swimming pool, measuring 16 by 5 meters, was completed in 2002. The marbellite finished pool, which is close to the house, has a 4x5m shallow wading pool which cascades into the  deeper 12x5m pool. The pool, which is surrounded by traventino stone tiles, has a patio at one end for sunbathing, a shower and deck chairs, all set in green lawns.

The fully enclosed garden offers areas of sun and shade, 2 outdoor eating tables, a bar-b-q and  pizza oven. There is a separate area for small children with a swing, slide and hammock all shaded by fig, loquat, apple and plum trees.

The nearest shopping facilities are approximately 4km down the valley, in San Martino in Freddana . It has all the necessary shops to fulfil most of your needs such as the SMA supermarket, post office, bank, tobacconist, newsagents, doctor, petrol station, 2 bars, allimentari and much more.
There are typical tuscan restaurants in the immediate area, La Corte and Valentino in the villages of Loppeglia and Fiano. San Graziano in San Graziano and Alpino in S. Martino in Freddana. These are amongst the closest. A complete list of restaurants can be found by clicking here.
