DIRECTIONS TO 'LA FORESTA'
FROM LA SPEZIA/LIVORNO (motorway)
Take Lucca est exit.
FROM FLORENCE (motorway)
Take motorway signposted Firenze-Mare and take the Lucca est exit.
FROM PISA AIRPORT (motorway)
Follow green signs for Genova and Firenze
Follow green signs to Autostrada, pointing straight ahead
Follow green sign A12 to Genova, to the right
Go straight ahead following green Genova-Livorno A12 sign
After the toll booth, go on A12 to Genova
After c.10 km, follow green sign to Firenze
Leave at Lucca est exit to motorway
THEN
Turn left at motorway exit towards city walls, go over the traffic lights and bridge. Turn left at the roundabout before the city walls.
Keep in the
middle lane and follow signs to 'Camaiore' around the Lucca ring road keeping the city walls on your right.
After leaving the walls, still following the signs to Camaiore, you will cross the River Serchio. You are now on
the 'Via per Camaiore'.
Continue on this road for for about 3 kms until you arrive at a signpost "Capella" and where there is a Q8
petrol station on your right .Take the next road on your left over a small bridge signposted to Pieve S. Stefano (and other places).
Go to the end and turn left at the iron cross along the via delle Foreste
Follow
this windy road up for about 2kms until you exit from the trees and you will see a vinyard on your right. Beyond the vinyard you will see the pink house and yellow barn of La Foresta
Turn next right at the track leading to the house.
