The interior of the house is light, very spacious and open-plan. The front door opens onto a wide hall leading to the lofty sitting area and the south terrace beyond. There are French windows along the length of the wall, so that, open or shut, you can enjoy the sense of space and the panoramic views over the Lucca valley. With an antique fireplace, deep sofas and TV equipment, your comfort is assured.




	Through a wide arch to the left is the large dining area, with windows overlooking the valley to the south and the woods the east. The dining table will accommodate ten, as will the table just outside on the terrace under the pergola, designed for al fresco living. The large kitchen area adjoins, and is fully equipped to cater for eight or ten people. With pale chestnut units and marble worktops, it has two large fridge-freezers, a five-burner gas hob, oven and microwave combination oven. A separate utility room next door has a washing machine, dryer, cleaning equipment and worktop.


	From the hall and sitting area, a wide stone staircase leads up to a gallery and first floor. Each of the four bedrooms has its own character: decorated in differing subtle colours, they have their own en-suite bathrooms with generous mirrors and basins set in marble or traditional tiles.


	The master bedroom has a king-size double/twin bed and beautiful views to the east and south. The bathroom has a full-length bath and shower, bidet and marble surfaces and bath surround. Also on the first floor, there's a double bedroom with views to the mountains in the east, large bathroom with full- length bath, shower and bidet.

On the ground floor, there's a large double/twin bedroom with French windows opening on to the west terrace and the pool. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower with marble seat and surround.

On the garden floor (reached by stairs from the hall) there's a large double/twin bedroom with French windows opening on to a sunny courtyard and views to the east and south. There is an internal door to the games room. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and marble surfaces.
