Above a charming hilltop village, just 15 minutes outside of Lucca in Tuscany, Villa Carolina is a beautiful and elegant villa with a breathtaking view from every room. This superb property offers approximately 6,000 square feet. of living space and sleeps 10 people. It is an outstanding historic property which has been lovingly and tastefully restored and exquisitely furnished. Antique terra cotta floor tiles, stone walls and exposed wooden ceiling beams enhance the spacious interiors. Villa Carolina includes all top-of-the-line modern amenities including broadband internet access and contemporary comforts; yet retains the charm and old-world feel of the important villas of the region.

One enters the villa through a sun-drenched entry foyer with antique wooden doors,
an elegant powder room and spacious hall closets.
French doors opposite the front entrance provide access to a large outdoor dining terrace, overlooking the spectacular view.
There is a vast, beautifully-furnished living room with original stone walls, a large stone fireplace,
two comfortable sofas and a large desk where DSL high speed Internet service is available, a
library, with state-of-the-art media components, including a DVD player and flat-screen satellite T.V., and comfortable seating.

On the second lel there are five bedrooms, all of which have ensuite bathrooms.
There are two master bedrooms and three double bedrooms.  Though the villa remains cool in summer due to its thick stone walls and the hilltop breezes, both master bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning and all of the bedrooms have ceiling fans.  Wood ceiling beams, terra cotta floors and tasteful, comfortable furnishings enhance these bright, sun-filled rooms, all of which have large windows overlooking the view.

The dining room, with expanding table  can seat up to 12. A large archway leads to the beautiful kitchen, which can be closed off with double doors.
The kitchen, features new, top-of-the-line appliances including: a 6-burner professional stove, large, side-by-side refrigerator, microwave and two dishwashers, all in stainless steel. Marble counters,
a center work island and a corner seating area with bistro table overlooking the view complete what is an extremely attractive and functional kitchen.

The ground floor features a large family room with two futon/couches, television and sitting area.  There is direct access from rooms on this level to the garden and pool area.
For the comfort and convenience of guests and those using the swimming pool, His and Hers changing rooms and large, modern bathroom with stall shower.
The ground floor also includes an activity room with ping-pong table and a large laundry room.

Beyond the lawn, stone steps lead to the private swimming pool (6 x 12 meters) with 8 comfortable chaise lounge chairs, two large "market" umbrellas and a large pergola for shade.  An expansive olive grove (with over 350 trees), also part of this majestic property.
