This stylish Tuscan rental home was built from stone and chestnut wood harvested from the surrounding slopes. It has been lovingly restored to very high standards and perfectly  blends its antiquity with the functionality and comfort of a thoroughly modern vacation property.
Al Bastini and its gardens sit in seven acres of gentle sloping terraces laced with centuries old olive trees, fruit trees and woods.

There are many outdoor eating areas for "al fresco" dining in this magical setting. These include a covered terrace with access from the kitchen and dining room offering outdoor eating at its best, cool and protected yet fully exposed to the surrounding views of the valley and nearby hills, which make this area so special. This jasmine-scented terrace situated just off the kitchen, has a stone built barbecue, large stone dining table and refined teak loungers. It is framed by a fragrant rock garden featuring most of the typical Italian herbs. It falls away to superb views beyond, soaking up the sun from early morning to late evening.

This delightful Tuscan farmhouse, comfortably located close to an array of good restaurants and fine dining, will give the visitor a taste of Italy at its best. You can stay at home and laze on the terraces drinking in the atmosphere with your glass of local wine while having a charming Lucchese cook prepare her specialities. Or visit one of the many local restaurants within just a few minutes drive.

The pool surround is furnished with the sun worshipper in mind, offering a choice of sun beds and deck chairs. There is a wisteria-covered pergola, which gives shade from the heat of the summer and where you can take poolside meals cooked on the pool barbecue. In both early and late summer months the pool heater maintains the pool temperature at your own setting. This classic 5m x 10m pool is totally engaging and blends into its harmonious surroundings.

"A slice of heaven" is how one Al Bastini guest described this setting. There is a large old brick- built barbecue alongside a herb garden to add flavour to your dishes. A large cast-iron table with local stone top provides yet another area for those cool evening soirées in true Tuscan style.
Throughout the gardens and pool area, there is suggestive lighting highlighting the wonderfully variegated greens of the olive trees.

A short walk from the house there is a covered car parking area for three cars, where you will also find two mountain bikes available for use during your stay at Villa Al Bastini.
